Here are a few comments selected from the grantees.

“I was extremely impressed with the variety of sessions offered and all of the hospitality that was shown.”

“Attending the MCTM conference was tremendously helpful. It allowed me to visit with several vendors about products that could be helpful in my classroom. I also really appreciated the number of sessions that were available to choose from. Having the option really made it possible to customize the experience for myself and the classes I teach.”

“The MCTM conference was a great way to interact with my colleagues. Not only did I get to learn about other sessions from my co-workers, but I met many people from different schools all over the state who had great advice and ideas to share. This conference proved to be an invaluable experience. I am looking forward to utilizing some of the information gained, and developing it even further.”

“We created a Google document to help us remember all of our learning and keep us focused. Often times we go to training and leave with grand ideas; this time I wanted to ensure that I had a plan and would not forget all that I took in.”

“Finally the last take away I had from the conference was the desire to return. A colleague and I were thinking about ways we could return to this wonderful event but also share what we find to be successful in our classroom. We decided to speak to some of the board members and inquire as to how we can present. We were pointed in the right direction and look to put together a submission to present at a conference next year. In the end, this was a great opportunity to learn from many successful math teachers and become inspired and excited as to what I can do next in my classroom.”
