Nominations for MCTM Honorary Membership

Honorary membership in MCTM is the highest award given annually by the MCTM Board of
Directors.

Honorary membership is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership
and service to MCTM. It is important to note that honorary membership is based on an
extensive record of leadership and service during a person’s career, rather than on the basis of
one particular accomplishment, regardless of how extensive.

Nomination must be made by a member of MCTM (no self-nominations). The nominee must
have at least twenty-five years of experience in mathematics education.

Honorary membership is conferred by the MCTM Board of Directors upon the recommendation
of the Honorary Membership Selection Committee. The person selected is honored at the
annual spring MCTM conference.
