We missed seeing you last spring in Duluth and we hope to see you in Duluth in 2022 but until then, we invite you to join your MN math colleagues in our first ever VIRTUAL Spring Conference, April 16 & 17.
VIRTUAL Conference highlights:
- Friday’s, April 16, keynote is Tracy Zager, @TracyZager, Becoming the Math Teacher You Wish You’d Had. Her keynote, Are We Ready to Think About What’s Next?, will provide an opportunity to breathe, think and talk about math class after COVID, through the lenses of equity, effectiveness and joy.
- Saturday’s, April 17, keynote is Trena Wilkerson, NCTM President, will engage us in critical conversations through some of the recommendations of NCTM’s Catalyzing Change series. What does it mean to empower students? What elements can move us forward as a catalyst for change?
- Featured speakers:
- Dr. Kristopher Childs, Teaching Mathematics for Social Justice
- Linda Levi, @LLeviCGIMath, Focusing on Students’ Thinking in Remote Classrooms, part of a CGI strand
- Geoff Krall, author of Necessary Conditions
- Terry Wyberg, U of M and colleagues, The Power of Being Curious
- Raj Shah, founder of Math Plus Academy, and our 2022 keynote and Symposium speaker
- Sessions will be a mixture of live and pre-recorded and recordings will be available until March 2022!
