Cancellation of the 2020 Ross Taylor Symposium and 2020 MCTM Spring Conference
These last few weeks have been unlike any we have experienced. Thank you to all the MN educators who are creating and launching online learning for our MN learners.
Thank you to the 120+ mathematics educators who were ready to share their passion and learning with their colleagues through a presentation at the spring conference. We hope you can consider sharing your learning at the 2021 Spring Conference, April 15-17, 2021 in Duluth.
Here are some links from our planned keynote speaker, Raj Shah, Using Video Game Principles to Improve Math Scores and The Global Math Project. Trena Wilkerson, incoming President of NCTM, urges mathematics educators to renew their membership to NCTM. NCTM is posting resources, including the latest journal of Learning and Teaching Mathematics.
Many of you attended the Smarter Together Math Leaders sessions this fall and winter with Marcy Wood. We are hoping to schedule another session with Marcy – date unknown. CI Math We are smarter together!
We also thank the DECC in Duluth, #DECC & #DuluthRocks, Visit Duluth, #AuthenticDuluth, and the Duluth hotels for their support and guidance as our MCTM organization responded to the rapidly changing health crisis. Please share your support for these organizations.
Full registration refunds are being processed for both the 2020 Symposium and the Spring Conference. If registrations were completed using a credit card, the refund will appear on the credit card. If your district paid by check or purchase order, those refunds will either return the uncashed check or a check will be issued to the district or the individual. Notification will be sent to all registrants as soon as this task of 500+ refunds is completed.
Miss seeing all of you at the conference. Let’s stay connected via facebook and twitter.
