Book Study: Necessary Conditions by Geoff Krall

The region directors are excited to announce their fall book study: Necessary Conditions by Geoff Krall. 

This will be a virtual gathering of people on Twitter and Facebook from September to November. We will read a couple chapters, then meet on either platforms to engage in discussion and questions. Buy directly from Stenhouse Publishers or Amazon. If you buy from Amazon, don’t forget to buy from smile.amazon.com and choose MCTM as the organization you are donating to.

To participate in the book study, all you need is the book and one of the social platforms. You may jump between the two platforms.

On Twitter, follow #mctmbook

Both chats will be on WEDNESDAYs this fall with Twitter from 7pm-8pm and Facebook from 8pm-9pm. All you do is answer the questions that are posted and feel free to respond to others.

The schedule is as follows: 

  • Sept 18 (introduction to the fall book study)
  • Oct 2 (ch. 1-3)
  • Oct 16 (ch. 4-5)
  • Oct 30 (ch. 6-7)
  • Nov 13 (ch. 8-11)
  • Dec 4 (ch. 12-13)

This is a free opportunity for all MN teachers. Anyone can join even if you are not an MCTM member. Feel free to forward this to anyone who would be interested (elementary teachers, secondary teachers, POST-Secondary educators, SPED teachers, EL teachers, and administrators). We would love to chat with you about the learning and growth.
