Education 1-9, University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire MaED Education, Hamline University, St. Paul Goals as MCTM VP:Over the past 7 years I have had the opportunity to learn from other professionals about the study of mathematics by attending regional and national math conferences and by taking the time to read and collaborate with others on current research and practice in the mathematics community. The excitement I felt from these experiences is what inspired me to return to the classroom after 5 years as a math specialist. I love sharing this excitement with others and I want to help create a space for others to join this inspiring community, where we can share and learn together. I am in awe of the time and talent that MCTM colleagues share to provide a means to gather new ideas and resources, network, learn, and stay current in our field so that we may better serve the students and families on our home districts. I am thankful for the opportunities that MCTM provides and want to do my part to make sure the opportunities are available now and in the future to all math educators.
