MN Math Tweeter of the Month

Did Sara Vanderwerf get you signed up for Twitter during the MCTM Spring Conference? Wondering who to follow to get some great ideas for your classroom and connect with? Look no further than Becky Rahm ( @beckyrahm ). She is a highenergymiddle school/high school combo teacher with loads of experience and insight to share with us all. She even dips her toes into the college realm teaching dualcredit courses like Calculus, Algebra and Stats. She had this to say when asked what she likes most about Twitter and what keeps her coming back:
I live in the SW corner of the state and I am the only math teacher in my district that teaches what I teach. I want/need a place to go when I have specific questions about what I am teaching or need new ideas. Twitter is a cheap way of having that option and a great way to expand my PLN. Plus, it is a great way to keep up with the new, fun things in education like all of the great thing going on with desmos or #breakoutedu.
Speaking of #breakoutedu , Becky suggests you check out this chat on Tuesday nights to learn more about immersive games for the classroom. Location: Twitter. The school year may be winding down, but the Twitter fun is just getting started. Connect with Minnesota Math educators using #MTBoSMN and let’s keep this conversation going.
