Summer Graduate Math Courses at Bemidji State

The Higher Learning Commission has adopted new rules/regulations concerning instructors of mathematics at post secondary institutions. Individuals at 2 year campuses and those who teach college courses in high schools must now possess a masters degree and have taken at  least 18 graduate level content area classes. This impacts many in the state.

Bemidji State University has put together a variety of graduate level mathematics courses to help individuals meet these new requirements.

The courses are mostly 3 or 4 week programs. We do have suite style housing that is good for family vacations while mom or dad is studying.

The courses are in June and July. All are graduate level math courses or can be taken for graduate credit with a math prefix.

We do have two courses that are funded and have no tuition cost for Minnesota licensed teachers.

These classes will help teachers who need

1. Graduate math credits to continue to teach college courses in the high school
2. Coursework that will lead to a middle level mathematics endorsement
3. A masters program that is base upon summer offerings
