The Higher Learning Commission has adopted new rules/regulations concerning instructors of mathematics at post secondary institutions. Bemidji State University has put together a variety of graduate level mathematics courses to help individuals meet these new requirements.
As President of MCTM, I am hoping to see each of you in Duluth April 29-30th, 2016 for our annual conference. My favorite part of conferences is the opportunity to network with math teachers from around the state that inspire me. The best ideas and most effective change I’ve made in my own classroom has often come from the people I meet in Duluth each year.

So what might the Learning of Math look like in our classrooms? Here are a couple of areas I am challenging myself in my own practice and I share with you.
Four offices on the Board of Directors of MCTM will be filled in the 2016 election. The members of the Executive Committee have nominated candidates for each office and the MCTM Board of Directors approved the slate of candidates. Members will receive an elections email on February 3. All ballots are due on February 17.
